How is Paste Application Made?

When the vehicle is painted for the first time, the paint is never completely homogeneous. Paints are multi-layered. The cake process is the process of removing the topmost layer from these layers. Thus, the scratches on the top layer are removed and cleaned. So essentially the paste is a liquid sanding process.
Depending on the color of the vehicle, thin or thick paste is used. If the vehicle is a dark color, a thin cake is preferred, and if it is a light color, a thick cake is preferred.
First of all, the surface on which the cake will be made must be cleaned thoroughly so that no dust, stains or dirt is left. Then, small pieces of the cake are taken and applied to different parts of the surface.
Hard-to-clean areas such as plastic, other than the area where the cake will be made, are covered with materials such as newspaper and paper that will prevent the cake from getting contaminated. Then the paste process is done with the polishing machine.
It is important to keep the machine stable during application, otherwise the sponge at the end of the machine may break and scratch the vehicle. For this reason, places that make wax polish must have experienced craftsmen and must be reliable.
It is also important that the paste and polish materials to be used are compatible with the paints of modern cars. It should not contain silicone, solvent, teflon and wax.
